John Richardson

Human Resources Manager
Finance

John Richardson serves as the Human Resources Manager at the Leadership Institute and reports to the vice president of Finance. Political activism and training have been an important part of John’s life. In 2010, John won his first election as an officer for the Bonner County Republican Central Committee and has organized and aided various conservative races over the years.

John began his career working in electrical engineering as a CAD draftsman at the age of 17 and later moved to the aerospace industry. John’s ability to learn complex procedures at a rapid rate allowed him to be trained in 3D CAD and laser optics to conduct highly specialized quality control inspections, R&D development and reverse engineering, both domestically and internationally.

In 2012, John opened his first business at the age of 23, a fitness and specialty skills gym that he owned and operated for over six years. During that time, he wore many hats and acted as the company’s chief financial officer. Later on, John worked in the finance and lending industry for three years managing a team of seven consultants.

Shifting back into the political realm in the aftermath of 2020, John joined the American Conservation Coalition as the regional director for the 13 western states. By developing a strategic grassroots growth plan and forming key relationships between members of Congress and other elected officials, John was able to take what was the smallest region and turn it into the organization’s largest and most effective region.

John is currently enrolled at Washington State University pursuing a bachelor’s of science in economics.
