Keith Nahigian

Keith Nahigian

Keith leads the firm in providing strategic advice to companies, candidates, executives, leaders, and governments on issues of policy and communications. His expertise in coalition building and earned media has driven a reputation for delivering outsized results in the face of sometimes imposing constraints. With experience working in 28 countries and throughout the U.S., Keith’s leadership moves our clients and partners dramatically forward.

In health care, Keith has served as a policy and communications advisor to Cabinet Secretaries, CEOs, and political candidates, including multiple presidential candidates.

As a strategic partner of the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Keith served as project manager for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Medicare Part D program.  The strategic communications plan and grassroots outreach campaign Keith designed and executed enrolled 39 million beneficiaries and generated 2 billion earned media impressions. He has advised the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Brookings Institution’s Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform.

 
Keith has additionally built deep experience in National Security. His ability to work across health care, security, and commercial sectors has made him a particularly valuable resource on import safety and international trade issues. In cyber-security, he coordinated the public-private coalition for computer virus and cyber threat response coordination and communications that is at the heart of the system in use today. His security clients have included the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the National Security Council, the U.S. Department of Energy, SANS Institute, and the Center for Internet Security.

In the commercial arena, Keith serves as an advisor on market development, strategic positioning, and policy context for Fortune 500 firms, commercially-focused government agencies, and venture-backed startups. Keith has built links between government, business, and main street in work with organizations including the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Consumer Electronics Association, BearingPoint, IDG, SRA International, and Merrill Lynch.

Keith’s focus on client results has led development and implementation of national media plans, earned media strategies, and large media events have put his clients on the covers of the New York Times, Washington Post, Time magazine, Newsweek magazine and other national news publications.

With a sophisticated understanding of grassroots politics and communications that dates to early childhood campaigning in his native Cleveland, Keith is also the founder of, and strategic advisor to, AmericaSpeakOn.org, a non-partisan, not-for-profit, grassroots movement promoting productive and open discussion and debate on issues of critical importance to all Americans.
