Jessica R. Towhey

Jessica R. Towhey joined Dezenhall Resources in 2011 after spending seven years working on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., and in national political campaigns. While on The Hill, she served as press secretary for then-Republican Leader John Boehner as well as working on his political team. Jessica has also run communications operations for a dozen top-tier U.S. House and U.S. Senate campaigns, including serving as Press Secretary for Rob Portman’s 2010 U.S. Senate race, which won by 18 points and was described by the Washington Post as having done “literally everything right.”

Prior to working in politics, Jessica spent five years as a newspaper reporter for daily papers in Northern California and Annapolis, MD. As the Naval Academy reporter for The (Annapolis) Capital, she regularly beat reporters from the Baltimore Sun, Washington Post and New York Times on stories.

Jessica is a graduate of The Catholic University of America. In 2009, she was featured in the school’s summer alumni magazine as one of nine outstanding alumni. Jessica is also a lecturer at The Leadership Institute, teaching political operatives effective media engagement.
