Collin Corbett is the black sheep of a mostly apolitical family, though he is used to that being an avid White Sox fan in a town full of Cubs fans. He was born in Batavia and has lived in Palatine for over 15 years.
Before founding Cor Strategies, Collin worked as a Television and Radio Producer for not-for-profit organizations and was a sought-after Director for live events throughout the Midwest. He was pushed into politics at a young age by several family friends, including longtime suburban Congressman Phil Crane, though he only gained a passion for it in his 20s when he finally saw the effect politics has on his everyday life.
Collin is dedicated to recruiting, training and electing the next generation of Republican leaders in Illinois. He has founded numerous political organizations in Chicagoland including the Lake County Young Republicans, the Palatine Township Republican Organization, and NXTgen Illinois. He is a trainer for the Leadership Institute and is a frequent guest speaker for area high school government classes and civic organizations. Through his political activity, he has recruited and trained over one thousand right-of-center candidates and activists.
In other community activities, Collin is an active member of his church, Harvest Bible Chapel in Rolling Meadows, serving as Assistant Head Usher. He has served on various Boards including the Palatine Jaycees and The H Foundation, a not-for-profit cancer research foundation. He is also involved in planning Entrepreneur’s Eve, a New Year’s Eve blowout event that celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit in Chicagoland.
When not plotting world domination in the nearest cigar shop, Collin can be found grilling (on charcoal), beating some fool in chess, speeding down the highway in his Charger, or quoting Family Guy or any Bill Murray movie to anyone unfortunate enough to be within earshot.
