Jacquelyn Monaghan -  Former Guest Speaker at the Leadership Institute

Jacquelyn Monaghan is a Development Coordinator with Major Gift Operations at The Heritage Foundation. She is responsible for communicating The Heritage Foundation’s mission and effectiveness to its members.

 

Jacquelyn oversees all of the thank you letters to major gift donors. She works to ensure Heritage communicates its gratitude to donors and the impact of their support in a timely, appropriate, and meaningful way in order to better cultivate relationships and engage its members. She is responsible for motivational stewardship projects such as annual impact reports, campaign progress updates, and personalized donor communications from policy analysts. Additionally she supervisors the donor recognition program, including press releases, plaques, and donor keepsakes.

 

Jacquelyn also provides support for the major gift planning team by coordinating proposals as well as the tracking funded projects and designated gifts. To maximize the efficiency and capabilities of Major Gift Operations, she coordinates with outside vendors and contract writers the mailing of Heritages template based thank you letters and proposals. Prior to her position as Development Coordinator, Jacquelyn interned in Heritage’s Membership Office.

 

Before joining Heritage, she interned with the Development Department at the American Legislative Exchange Council as well as participated in the Charles G. Koch Institute Internship Program. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and History with a minor in International Relations from the University of Rochester. While there, she was president of the College Republicans as well as fundraising chair and Varsity member of the University of Rochester Women’s Crew Team. Originally from La Plata, Maryland she now resides in Washington, D.C.
