Digital Download: How to Use Facebook Live

21 days until event begins

What you will learn

Leadership Institute's Digital Download weekly training series teaches digital technology being used to shape America's electoral system.

Every Tuesday, this training series completes a "deep dive" into new digital technology and effective strategies about how to support your online activism and political efforts.

Become a digitally savvy activist and gain in depth knowledge of a variety of key topics in the digital field. With a mix of speaker presentations and panels, you will learn from center-right digital professionals how to best optimize your digital footprint.

July 26: How to use Facebook Live

Facebook Live leverages the power of real-time video to record and broadcast in an authentic way with your audience.

Facebook highly emphasizes its live streaming service. The social media platform often sends notifications to all the fans of your page when you are broadcasting live and shortly after your broadcast is over.

Whether you're trying to raise brand awareness, support activism efforts, or increase engagement with your current audience, Facebook Live is a great tool for your political efforts.

Make the most of your next Facebook Live. In this one-hour training, you will learn:

  • best practices, from technology to content, for planning and filming your first Facebook Live;
  • how to make your Facebook Live video engaging so that people are more likely to comment – and your video is more likely to be discovered; and,
  • lessons learned from how campaigns, media companies, and conservative organizations are using Facebook Live.

The training ends at 1pm Eastern / Washington D.C. time.
