Online Training: Becoming a YouTube Creator Workshop

9 days until event begins

What you will learn

YouTube is the second most popular social media site in the world. Learn to use the power of video to speak with and engage directly with your audience.

The Leadership Institute's three-session Becoming a YouTube Creator workshop is a fun, live, online training that you can sign into from anywhere in the world.

How to Make a YouTube Channel
Tuesday, July 31th
3pm to 4:30pm EST

In this fun, easy-to-follow introduction, you'll learn how to properly set up your channel and use YouTube's Creator Studio.

You'll learn:
  • three important features you should be using in YouTube's Creator Studio to amplify your videos;
  • the backend of YouTube and how the platform operates; and
  • the meaning of common but confusing terms.

Creating Great YouTube Videos
Wednesday, August 1st
3pm to 4:30pm EST
Creating quality videos is the most important part of your YouTube strategy. Viral videos don't need the nicest camera or the biggest budget to be successful, especially on YouTube.

You'll learn:
  • how and why some videos are more successful than others;
  • the essentials behind a consistent YouTube strategy including annotations, call-to-actions, and keywords; and
  • how media companies, organizations, and political campaigns are using the platform.

Finding Your Audience
Thursday, August 2nd
3pm to 4:30pm EST
Making videos and uploading them isn't enough to engage an audience. You need to catch your target audience's attention and persuade them to subscribe to your content.

You'll learn:
  • how to increase the chances of your target audience finding your content on YouTube;
  • video attraction techniques (titles, thumbnails, etc.) that engage your audience before they even click on your video; and
  • growing and nurturing a loyal audience who look forward to your videos.

Starts Tuesday, July 31
