Michael Fonte is apolicy consultant for Taiwan’s Democratic Progressive Party since 2002. Prior work included running the Project on Asian Studies at the University of Michigan 1972-76; Washington correspondent for Taiwan’s Capital Morning Post - 1989-90; and three years grassroots efforts, 1967-70, In Taiwan with the Maryknoll Fathers, a Catholic missionary organization.
