Tierra Warren -  Former Guest Speaker at the Leadership Institute

Born in Phoenix, Arizona but raised in San Diego, California, Tierra became involved in leadership at an early age. In high school, she was elected class council president from 2000-2004 and served on the Board of Education for the Oceanside Unified School District.

In 2004, Tierra started college at the University of California Santa Barbara where she was involved in College Republicans and Delta Delta Delta sorority. In 2006, she was a field representative for the California College Republicans. She has worked on several Congressional, Governor, and Presidential campaigns.

Tierra joined the College Republican National Committee (CRNC) in January 2008 as Deputy Executive Director and managed the daily affairs of the CRNC office. In 2009, she was promoted to Finance Director to handle high dollar fundraising, telemarketing, direct mail, and online fundraising campaigns. In August 2011, Tierra left the CRNC to pursue other direct marketing opportunities in Washington, DC. While at the CRNC, Tierra raised approximately $10 million dollars.

Currently at The Heritage Foundation, a leading conservative think tank, Tierra plays an integral role in developing and coordinating marketing strategies for a designated portfolio of Leadership for America Initiatives. This includes integrating marketing communications processes, market research, and project management throughout Heritage to achieve greater impact of their policy initiatives.

When she's not politicking, Tierra enjoys shopping, soccer, traveling, fantasy football, and small dogs. Tierra graduated from the University of California San Diego in 2008 with a Bachelors degree in Political Science and recently finished her Masters degree in Government at Johns Hopkins University. She is currently an MBA candidate at the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University.
