Tyler Foote is the Virginia State Director for Americans for Prosperity (AFP) – a national grassroots organization that mobilizes citizens to advocate for policies that advance free-market solutions and economic freedom.
Prior to joining AFP, Tyler served as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director for Congressman David Rouzer (NC-07). Tyler has extensive campaign experience, managing races at the state and federal level.
Most recently he served as Campaign Manager for David Rouzer’s congressional campaign, electing the first Republican to represent North Carolina’s Seventh Congressional District in 143 years. He also managed Congressman Tim Murphy’s (PA-18) re-election campaign as well as Delegate Mike Watson’s (VA-93) re-election. In 2010, Tyler worked on a U.S. Senate campaign serving as the Assistant to the Candidate.
Between stints on the campaign trail, Tyler served as the Director of Political and New Media Training at the Leadership Institute where he helped train thousands of activists and political staffers.
Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Tyler graduated from Centre College with degrees in Government and History. He currently resides in Arlington, VA.
