Sean McMahon is the Leadership Institute’s CFO and Vice President for Finance. He joined the Institute in 2020 having spent his career in a variety of capacity and institution-building roles in the conservative movement.

Prior to his service at LI, Sean launched the donor communications program at the Conservative Partnership Institute, acquiring over 15,000 new donors. At the Heritage Foundation, he relaunched the Foundation’s Candidate Briefing Program, educating over 200 congressional and presidential candidates during the 2016 election cycle. Sean also worked in the US House of Representatives. He earned an MPhil in international relations with distinction from the University of Cambridge and a BA summa cum laude from Ave Maria University.
