Sean Themea began his career with YAL as a student at Ithaca College with the help of the Leadership Institute, and he quickly became a New York State Chair. After college, he joined as the Midwest Regional Director at YAL National, and recruited 363 students to the first ever YAL Spring Summit. In 2017, he joined Cliff Maloney and committed to scaling YAL’s fundraising. Since then. he and Cliff have expanded the Development department from two to nine staff members, launched YAL’s alumni giving program, and grown YAL’s revenue from $1.9 million to $5.9 million. Sean has been featured on i24 News and Capitalism.com, and in his spare time studies at Cornell University's SC Johnson School of Business.
