Michelle Fortin is an award winning broadcast journalist and public relations professional. Michelle spent nearly a decade working in television newsrooms across the country, both behind and in front of the camera.  She worked as a field producer at KTVK in Phoenix, Arizona – at the time, the number one independent station in the country.  She anchored the number-one rated weekend newscasts and reported for KHGI (NTV News) in Kearney, Nebraska.  She won several awards for her reporting at WMTW, the ABC affiliate in Portland, Maine. Michelle also spent several years as Media Relations Manager for a faith-based, non-profit organization, the Alliance Defending Freedom. Currently, Michelle is training future television anchors, reporters and producers in her role as Faculty Associate at both the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University and at Arizona Christian University in Phoenix, Arizona, and as the lead faculty for the Broadcast Journalism School at the Leadership Institute in Arlington, Virginia.  Michelle received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Biola University and a Masters Degree in Mass Communication from Arizona State University. Michelle and her husband, Jason, live in Scottsdale, Arizona, with their two young children and English Bulldog.
