Lauren Bouton is a policy analyst, federal affairs manager and coalitions coordinator for the R Street Institute. In this role, she works with third-party groups from across the political spectrum, including launching a left-right coalition that attempts to bring groups together over policy issues and democratic norms.

Lauren joined R Street in January 2018, having worked most recently as a public policy associate with Facebook’s external affairs team in Washington, D.C. Earlier in her career, she worked on the Charles Koch Institute’s external relations team, where she built programming and engaged with alumni of institute programs.

Lauren received her bachelor’s from the University of Arizona, where she majored in political science and minored in Spanish and history.

She currently lives in Alexandria, Virginia, but continues to consider Tucson, Arizona, her true home.
