Hannah-Catherine Smith is the Communications Training and Studios Coordinator at the Leadership Institute in Arlington, Virginia.
As a former television news reporter in the D.C. metropolitan area, Hannah-Catherine got a taste of public policy as a journalist. She decided to switch career paths and pursue an internship in media relations with the Heritage Foundation's Young Leaders Program. That internship gave Hannah-Catherine her first look at the conservative movement and she hasn't looked back since.
Hannah-Catherine graduated in 2017 with a degree in Communication Studies from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. At Furman, she received the Mullinax Award from the South Carolina Broadcasters Association and the Charles A. Batson award for excellence in broadcasting.
As a reporter, Hannah-Catherine covered stories all over the spectrum as a one-woman-band. From human interest pieces to the Virginia gubernatorial election, she's reported on a variety of subjects.
Since joining the Leadership Institute in 2018, Hannah-Catherine has coordinated communications trainings for over a thousand conservative and liberty-minded attendees and personally trained hundreds of activists to succeed in media interviews.
Hannah-Catherine will begin pursuing her MA in Communication at Johns Hopkins University this fall.
