Political Leadership Boot Camp (a Candidate and Campaign Staff Development Course)

On Thursday December 3, 2020

What you will learn

"Winning the election is a good-news, bad-news kind of thing. Okay, now you're the mayor. The bad news is, now you're the mayor." Clint Eastwood

The Leadership Institute's Political Leadership Bootcamp is an intensive 3-session program that gives candidates and those who support them the skills to fight and win in today's competitive public policy arena. Typically the Boot Camp meets over a series of weeks, this one is being condensed into one weekend.

Each session, participants will attend seminars focused on a specific theme: Strategy, Communications, Fundraising, and Voter Contact. Additional on-demand content, which complements this material, is available to program enrollees.

This Political Leadership Boot Camp is presented in conjunction with the River School of Government. Professors from the River School will share special presentations on the Constitution and the responsibilities of public office.

Because this is a comprehensive program, participants will be asked to enroll and pay a one-time tuition fee; it is not possible to register for only one of the three days. This fee allows attendees access to all seminars, webinars, and course materials.

Ideal attendees are current and prospective candidates, campaign advisors and staff, volunteers, and activists interested in impacting public policy.

Attendees will learn how to:
• Create a campaign plan
• Inspire people to get involved and vote
• Build a strong base of supporters
• Raise funds
• Target, identify, and mobilize voters

This is the only in-person candidate and campaign prep class the Leadership Institute ins offering in the fall of 2020. Everyone is welcome to join us for these presentations in Tampa.
