Dave Dziok is a Vice President for Edelman’s Public Affairs group in the Washington, D.C. office. He brings unique communications and government experience through an established record of traditional and digital media success at the local, state and national levels.
Dave’s clients at Edelman have included Adobe, MGM Resorts International, Microsoft, NOVOLEX, Research in Motion and Time Warner Cable. Dave was awarded a Silver SABRE in 2011 by the Holmes Report for his work with Time Warner Cable, helping the company launch a national campaign with Vice President Al Gore to promote science and math education. He was awarded another Silver SABRE in 2013 for his work in developing and executing a media strategy around Microsoft’s Election 2012 hub on Xbox Live for the Xbox 360 console.
Prior to joining Edelman in 2010, Dave served as the communications director for a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Dave served as the official spokesman for the office, crafting messages and providing strategic counsel and communications strategy on a multitude of issues. Dave managed an extensive press operation that focused on the implementation of digital technologies combined with traditional public relations strategies, establishing his boss as one of the most prominent and influential politicians in the country.
Dave has also held strategic communications positions in political campaigns at all levels of government – from local state senate races in Virginia, to a congressional race spanning the state of North Dakota. He also gained hands-on experience in developing grassroots campaigns and civic mobilization in his role as political director of a statewide political action committee.
A Rhode Island native, Dave received a bachelor’s degree in both Political Science and Public Administration from Elon University in North Carolina, and he now resides in Washington, DC.
