Dave Dziok is director of communications for Koch Industries and its legal, government and public affairs division, Koch Companies Public Sector (KCPS). Focusing on issue advocacy, he manages a team that works to advance market-based public policy while anticipating and responding to government, legal, community and media actions that can affect Koch Industries and its companies’ reputation or profitability. 

Before joining Koch Industries in 2015, Dave was vice president for Edelman’s public affairs group in its Washington, DC office. Dave's team was awarded a Silver SABRE in 2011 by the Holmes Report for its work helping a client launch a national campaign with Vice President Al Gore to promote science and math education. His team was awarded another Silver SABRE in 2013 for its work in developing and executing a media strategy around Microsoft’s Election 2012 hub on Xbox Live for the Xbox 360 console. 

Prior to joining Edelman in 2010, Dave served as communications director for U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann from Minnesota. Dave served as the official spokesman for the office, crafting messages and providing communications counsel on a number of different issues. Dave managed an extensive press operation that focused on the implementation of digital technologies combined with traditional public relations strategies, working with his team to establish his boss as a prominent political leader with a nationwide following. 

Dave has also held key roles in political campaigns at all levels of government – from local state senate races in Virginia, to a congressional race spanning the state of North Dakota. He also gained hands-on experience in developing grassroots campaigns and civic mobilization in his role as political director of a statewide political action committee. 

A Rhode Island native, Dave received a bachelor’s degree in both Political Science and Public Administration from Elon University in North Carolina. He now resides in Washington, DC.
