Abigail Jorgensen -  Former Guest Speaker at the Leadership Institute

Abigail Jorgensen is a PhD student in Sociology at the University of Notre Dame. She studies gender and political behavior, particularly regarding the political impacts of motherhood. In her free time, she dabbles in researching the formation of matriarchal democracies aboard pirate ships.

 

As the former Youth Leadership School Intern at the Leadership Institute, Abigail recruited students and organized Youth Leadership Schools from Arlington to Seattle. Originally from Ham Lake, Minnesota, worked full time in 2012 as the events coordinator for the Kurt Bills for Senate campaign. She has also worked or volunteered on campaigns for Michele Bachmann, Scott Walker, Tom Emmer, and Michelle Benson and has interned with the Minnesota State Senate.
