Marci LeBlanc -  Former Guest Speaker at the Leadership Institute

Marci LeBlanc graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1997 with a double major in English and Political Science—specializing in third world developing economies.  She is a few hours short of a minor in French.

Marci worked in corporate America for seven years in the marketing and distribution of over 100 vendors in lighting and plumbing.  One day she woke up and realized she wanted more out of life, and to give back.  So, she moved to D.C. to work in the non-profit world.

During her seven years in corporate America, she went on many missions trips to the countries she studied in college.  She was able to see these governments first hand, and the oppression that has always driven her to want to do more for the expansion of free markets everywhere.

In January of 2006, Marci arrived as a Leadership Institute intern.  Marci interned at LI for four months, and she attended every LI school offered during that time.  Marci was hired by LI as a Planned Giving officer in April of 2006.  Within three months of that position Marci was offered the position of Director of Planned Giving.  To date Marci is the Director of Planned Giving for the Development department at LI, and she loves her job.
