Rick Hendrix - Former Guest Speaker at the Leadership Institute
Rick Hendrix has worked as a direct mail fundraising professional for three decades. For 10 years, he directed the direct mail program here at the Leadership Institute where he oversaw a more than tenfold increase in the Institute’s donor base. Currently, Rick is a founding partner of ClearWord Communications Group, an agency that specializes in the type of high dollar direct mail programs the Leadership Institute pioneered. Rick is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and is a member of the Direct Marketing Fundraisers Association and the Association of Fundraising Professionals. In addition to speaking at Leadership Institute schools, he has served as director of the Direct Mail Track at Madison Down Under, a fundraising conference sponsored by the Fundraising Institute of Australia, and is a regular speaker at American University’s Campaign Management Institute. He is active in Republican politics in Virginia and serves as a member of the Electoral Board in Prince William County. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Morton Blackwell’s Conservative Leadership PAC. Rick and his wife, Taania, live in Bristow, Virginia and have three daughters.
