Cody Brown
Cody M. Brown is President and CEO of CODIAS LLC, founded in 2011 to advance
the conservative movement in the United States by assisting conservative
candidates in the management of all aspects of their political campaigns.
Brown served as Iowa campaign manager for Rick Santorum's historic victory in
the 2012 Iowa caucuses and, during the 2010 midterms, Brown served as
campaign manager for Ben Lange, a conservative candidate for U.S. Congress in
Iowa’s 1st Congressional District.
Brown previously served as Senior Counsel & Chief of Legal Research at the
Project on National Security Reform in Washington DC where he partnered with
senior leaders at the National Counterterrorism Center, created in the aftermath of
9-11 to ‘connect the dots’, to improve the strategic operational planning for U.S.
counterterrorism missions worldwide.
Brown also co-chaired a flagship project to modernize the National Security Council
organization of the United States, consisting of the president’s closest White House
advisors.
As an attorney, Brown has staffed or advised members of both the U.S. House and
Senate. He served on the Senate Special Investigation into Hurricane Katrina as a
staff member on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs
Committee. He also served as Legislative Counsel for a member of the House
Homeland Security Committee.
Brown earned his undergraduate degree from Northwestern College, his Juris
Doctorate from Hamline University School of Law, and his Master of Laws from
Georgetown University Law Center where he studied constitutional issues and
national security law under top government officials.
