David Payne

David leads the digital advocacy practice at VOX Global, providing clients that range from Fortune 100 enterprises to non-profit causes with interactive new media solutions. He offers his clients a track record of experience in deploying political technology to mobilize grassroots, raise awareness and funds, communicate and advertise online, manage complex communications processes, and leverage social media to win hearts and minds.

Prior to joining VOX Global, David managed his own new media consultancy and amassed business and technology expertise in results-focused corporate environments. David holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Concordia College and a Master of Arts degree in Political Management from The George Washington University where he graduated summa cum laude and first in his class. He is a veteran of congressional digital campaigning as well as nationwide grassroots mobilizations.

David works in the VOX Washington D.C. headquarters and lives with his wife, Amy, in Alexandria. His areas of core expertise include: building citizen coalitions through mobilization technology; crafting targeted and strategic online ad campaigns; managing complex and integrated campaign website operations; leveraging social media platforms to acquire and retain the support of important constituencies; and protecting and enhancing brands and reputations online.

In his spare time, David reads a lot of history. He is a fan of quality New York-style pizza (although it’s hard to find in Washington) and Cary Grant movies. David is an enthusiastic but unremarkable golfer and skier, having long ago traded all athletic acumen for a rigorous regimen of online campaigning.
