Kristen Cosby

Kristen is a freelance reporter for WJXT-TV in Jacksonville, FL.

This Jacksonville native got her first lesson in broadcasting making a class video at Loretto Elementary School.

Kristen went on to study broadcast journalism at UNF. After graduating Magna Cum Laude, she traded seashells for corncobs, reporting and anchoring at KMEG in Sioux City, IA.

But a winter of blizzards brought Kristen back to the South. In 2004 she went to WRDW in Augusta, GA. There, Kristen watched the world descend upon the city as she covered the Masters golf tournament. She also traveled to New Orleans to report on Hurricane Katrina's aftermath, covering exclusive parts of the city as an embedded reporter with the Army. During her time at WRDW, Kristen was a guest on CNN's Nancy Grace show and earned both a regional Edward R. Murrow Award and a Georgia Associated Press Award. Finally, she was prepared to cover the best story of all - home.
