Kristine Bramsen

Kristine Bramsen

Kristine Bramsen has over fifteen years of experience in personnel management, executive recruitment, and the building of political teams for government transitions and campaigns. She has been affiliated with The Heritage Foundation for over fifteen years in a number of roles, including as the Director of Personnel, and currently directs Heritage’s recruitment, staff development, and Job Bank initiatives.  In this role, she managed the process of providing personnel recommendations to new Members of Congress in 2010-2011 and to the transition team for Governor-elect Bob McDonnell in 2009-2010.
 
Prior to her current role at Heritage, Bramsen worked on a number of personnel and staffing initiatives for The Honorable Kay Coles James.  Bramsen also served as the Director of Career Services and Placement for the School of Government, Regent University under the leadership of Dean James.   In the public sector, Bramsen served the Commonwealth of Virginia under the governorship of George Allen at the Department of Employee Relations Counselors (DERC).  She was also involved in the recruitment and staffing of the National Gambling Impact Study Commission for Chairwoman Kay James. In the private sector, Bramsen served as the Director of Operations for David Welch Associates, a Republican direct mail and television consulting firm where she managed production efforts on behalf of over 100 political campaigns.  She served as Marshall in New Hampshire for the 2004 Bush/Cheney re-election effort and she served as a Marshall for social conservative outreach in Missouri in 2000.
 
Bramsen is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the American Association of Training and Development.She has a B.A. from the University of Maine in German and Political Science., and has attended Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, Georgetown University, and George Mason University for executive training in leadership, management, and leadership coaching.
