Matt Lewis

Matt Lewis is a writer, blogger and commentator based in Alexandria, VA.  He currently serves as a senior contributor for The Daily Caller.

He is also the editor of the forthcoming book, ‘The Quotable Rogue: The Ideals of Sarah Palin In Her Own Words.’

Matt is also a highly sought after speaker, who has spoken for diverse groups including: The Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership, American University's Campaign Management Institute, and Regent University.

Previously, Matt served as a columnist for Politics Daily, and before that, as a blogger for Townhall.com.

Matt has appeared on Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, C-SPAN, and ABC’s “Nightline,”as well as on numerous radio shows, including NPR’s Talk of the Nation, The G. Gordon Liddy Show, and Lou Dobbs Radio. (Watch Matt’s demo reel).

He has been quoted by major publications such as, The Washington Post and The New York Times.

NEWSWEEK’s Ben Adler referred to Matt as “a staunchly conservative but independent-minded and intellectually honest columnist…”

In March 2007, Matt was one of two bloggers invited on John McCain’s “Straight Talk Express” campaign bus on a visit to New Hampshire for an interview with the candidate.

In 2008, he was a credentialed blogger at the RNC National Convention in Minneapolis, MN.  And in 2010, Matt helped provide mid-term election-night analysis for ABC’s “Nightline”.

Matt currently hosts, “The Matt Lewis Show” podcast (subscribe on iTunes) and is a regular co-host of “The Week in Blog,” a weekly “diavlog” on Bloggingheads.TV.

Matt grew up in Myersville, MD and graduated from Shepherd College (now University) in Shepherdstown, WV.
