Regional Development Officer
Elizabeth Tara Ryan is the Leadership Institute’s Regional Development Officer for the Southeast region of the country. She attended Hillsdale College where she earned her degree in economics.
Proficient in Spanish, Ryan studied for a semester at the free market school, Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala City, Guatemala and traipsed around Central America while learning third world economics.
Before starting her work at LI, Ryan spent time helping her troubled home state, Michigan, at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy and then worked for Americans for Prosperity Foundation.
Ryan is a Flint, Michigan native. She was introduced to the political process while interning for a mayor who served time in jail.
