Jessica Towhey has more than 15 years’ experience as a newspaper reporter and a communications strategist. She was the media point-person for a number of top U.S. House and U.S. Senate campaigns, including Sen. Rob Portman’s 2010 campaign. She was also press secretary for John Boehner when he was the Republican Leader in the U.S. House.

Jessica opened 2E Communications six years ago and focuses on media consulting and media training. Her clients include nonprofit organizations, trade associations, government agencies, and corporations. She is also a freelance reporter for InsideSources and The Mortgage Note. 

In 2018, Jessica built and ran the first Media Center for the annual Republican House and Senate Members’ Retreat that encompassed every major TV, radio, and print outlet in the country. She was the primary spokesperson for the train derailment that occurred as Republican Members, their families, and the congressional staff were traveling to the retreat, briefing reporters as the situation unfolded.
