Christopher Malagisi -  Volunteer Faculty at the Leadership Institute

Christopher N. Malagisi is currently Executive Director of Outreach for Hillsdale College’s Washington, D.C. Campus, located on Capitol Hill.  As their chief engagement liaison he oversees all external relations, marketing, and communications, and was integral in the successful launch of their Van Andel Graduate School of Government. He also serves as Co-Chair of the Conservative External Relations Professionals (CERP) association.
 
Malagisi is also a subject matter specialist in the political and philosophical history of the conservative movement and taught History of the Conservative Movement as an Adjunct Instructor at American University for half a decade, and was previously the Education Director of Conservatism 101 – a project of The Leadership Institute.  He regularly presents on the topic to prominent organizations and conferences, and most recently recorded a special presentation for The Heritage Foundation’s 2025 Presidential Transition Project.
 
He previously worked at the American Conservative Union as their CPAC Director & Director of External Relations, was Editor in Chief of the Conservative Book Club – a division of Salem Media and Regnery Publishing, and was Director of Political & New Media Training at The Leadership Institute.  He’s worked on five presidential campaign efforts in coalition leadership positions, in democracy development at the International Republican Institute, and was Founder and President of the Young Conservatives Coalition.  Malagisi has also consulted for leading nonprofit, educational, and private sector companies – helping them develop strategic outreach and marketing campaigns, and online educational curricula. 
 
Malagisi is an award-winning executive, external relations expert.  Maverick PAC awarded him their Future40 Award, stating that “in nearly two decades of work in the conservative movement and Republican politics, he has distinguished himself as an industry leader and one of the country’s most valuable and go-to external relations experts and coalition leaders.”  He also received the Greek America Foundation 40 Under 40 Award for being “one of the most influential Greeks in American politics today, having been recognized for his prominent work in politics, education, media, and business.”  He also received the William F. Buckley Jr. Leadership Award from America’s Future Foundation, and Campaigns & Elections Magazine referred to him as a “D.C. Mover & Shaker.” 
 
He has been interviewed on Fox News, Fox Business, and C-SPAN, The Dennis Prager Show, The Hugh Hewitt Show, The Brian Kilmeade Show, The Larry O’Connor Show, and was a weekly reoccurring analyst on The Mike Gallagher Radio Show for three years.  He’s also been published in over a dozen publications, including The Federalist, Washington Examiner, Townhall, and NPR. 
 
He has a Master’s of Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, and a dual B.A. from American University.  He has completed numerous fellowships, including as a Lincoln Fellow at The Claremont Institute, Media Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, James Madison Fellow at Hillsdale College, Constitutional Fellow at The American Conservative, Political Studies Fellow at the Hertog Foundation, and at Liberty Fund.  He also previously served on the Board of Trustees for The Philadelphia Society, is originally from Buffalo, NY, has travelled to 44 countries, sailed around the world, and recorded two piano albums.

Christopher Malagisi
