Carsten Walter is the current John Von Kannon Fellow in Philanthropy. Carsten joined Heritage in 1988 to manage the growth of its membership program, which now stands at more than 500,000 active members. Over his more than three decades at Heritage, he has held multiple other roles including oversight of major gift communications and donor research and carries a small caseload of major donors. Carsten currently provides strategic insight and mentorship to the Development and Executive teams and engages in all aspects of Heritage’s fundraising and stewardship activities.
