He is a founding member and executive director of the Association for the Defense of Christian Values – Luci sull’Est (ADVC-LSE). Incorporated in 1991, this 175,000-member faith-based, pro-family, pro-life, and Christian-values organization is active in Italy and in several Eastern European nations. It is inspired by the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church and acts to spread and promote the message and values of the Gospel.
ADVC-LSE was the first faith-based organization to successfully introduce direct mail in Italy as a tool to promote pro-religious, pro-life and pro-family Christian agendas.
Through its branch, Voglio Vivere, ADVC–LSE is active in the pro-life movement, fighting for the right to life from conception to natural death, according to the teachings of the Encyclical Evangelium Vitae, of Pope John Paul II.
In the pro-family movement, ADVC-LSE has successfully fought for natural family and marriage (i.e., against so-called same-sex marriage) before the Italian Parliament and in the European Union.
The organization has reached more than 12 million households in Italy and over a half-million families in Russia to raise funds to foster Christian values in the former Soviet Union countries. ADVC-LSE is currently active in Russia, the Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Croatia and Lithuania.
Mr. Dalla Valle is a co-founder of, and legal adviser to the Osservatorio della Cristianofobia (www.osservatoriocristianofobia.it), a project to lobby the United Nations and European institutions to take a strong stance against persecution and discrimination against Christians.
