Ian Ivey has been training people in teaching, communications, and argumentation for more than 20 years.
In 1997, while Ian was in law school at Georgetown, he began training instructors at Kaplan Test Prep. Ian was Kaplan’s director of faculty for two years. He then taught management development at the Charles G. Koch Foundation. He was the director of communications at the Leadership Institute, and is now a branch chief at the General Services Administration.
In 1994, during college, Ian was a spring intern at the Leadership Institute. He used LI training to start a conservative political journal on his campus, and was also an editor for his university's student newspaper. Ian credits the Leadership Institute's training for helping him chart the course of his professional career.
He says he teaches so many LI classes because he knows first-hand how valuable LI training is.
